Placebo: Alt. Russia

Placebo. Russia. 2014

Today, 30th of May 2k16, is a world premiere of Placebo's feature film.
This 70 minute cinematic creation tells us a story about Placebo's tour throughout Russia in 2014.
Basically, we get to experience this country at it's every angle as we go through the depths of Siberia by taking trans-siberian express with the band. As you may remember 2014 was the time when Crimea situation appeared and it happened so that Placebo had their tour just at it's peak.
We get to follow the band through the path that David Bowie toured lots of years ago.

We see the real country with real people. It's almost unbelievable how cool it was to watch people of this huge country finally meet their heroes and idols (aka the band). During their tour they got to meet lots of different artists who belong to Russia and are absolutely amazing and outstanding. A whole new unspoilt view on this country appears in front of our eyes as we watch the film.
You see Russia, people, their emotions, how they live, what they do and most importantly their incredible love towards Placebo. Some political issues are also touched and a parallel between political situation and ordinary life is drawn. It's such a great cultural experience and a way to get rid of stereotypes because you get to know Russia by yourself without any prejudices.

Even if you're not interested in such a country, it's just aesthetically pleasing to watch guys roam around cities and town, talk to other people, hang out and laugh together and play concerts. It feels like they are a family and you're a part of it. That homie-like feeling is so surreal, man.

Overall, definitely go if you're a fan of this band or just a fan of good movies. You will enjoy it.
I truly adored watching this film.

Japan, Japan and Summer

Big City, Hot Summer, Japanese Vibes

wearing: shirt - somewhere Japan; tee - A.P.O; pants - Monki; runners - Nike Air Rift

Bonjour mes amis!

As you can tell I just came from my french exams, haha, yet to have the oral one on Thursday.
Now back to my outfit. It was real hot today but I had to dress appropriately so the best decision was light fabrics and free-fitting clothes. Somehow that guided me to being inspired by japanese style. The shirt I actually bought a few years ago in Japan. What to say, it's comfortable and not hot at all when wearing this outfit.
So remember to keep it loose and light and maybe choose pastel colours to keep more cool.

Cinematic #1 (Jan to May)

Hello, friends)))

As typical as it may seem but I also have some new year Resolutins and one of them was to watch 100 cinematographic creations this year. It is indeed a variation on 100 movies but as I'm craving series and some animated things as well I deicded to count all of it.
I now offer you to join me on my way as I will update you on things that I've watched or am watching so maybe you will be able to find something for yourself.
I know, I'm kinda running late with, because it's past 5 months already but hey I've whole summer ahead of me.

Take a look at things I've watched throughout these 5 months. In no particular order:

1. 10 things I hate about you (movie, 1999)

It is rather a light-watching movie. I did enjoy it but there's nothing really so new about it but it's still classic. Just an old good reminder that we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Overall go for it if you wanna relax on the rainy evening.

2. Penelope (movie, 2007)

Quiet the same as the previous movie I talked about with a little different view on it. Go for it if you are a fan of Mr. McAvoy like me.

3. One Day (movie, 2011)

Well that's the movie I'd want to draw your attention to. I really loved it. It reminds me of that french movie I once watched. Not to mention stunning Anne Hathaway and the perfect couple that she makes with Jim Sturgess.

4. Bravest Warriors
(cartoon on Cartoon Hangover, since 2008, 2 seasons)

As I'm a fan of anything hero'ish and yet comedy'ish. It is a good alternative to the all famous "Adventure Time" or "Star vs The Forces of Evil" or "Teen Titans GO!". Episodes are about 5 min long and so you can entertain yourself while on the subway or on short breaks.

5. The Lobster (movie, 2015)

Just watch it!

6. Tomorrowland (movie, 2015)

Just another utopian film
- Did it reach my expectations?
- Not really

- Is it good?
- Well, I think you could give it a try.

7. Gossip Girl
(series, 2007-2012, 6 seasons)

I don't think I need to comment on this one. Watched it the 3rd time. Still absolutely amazing.

8. Laurence Anyways (movie, 2012)

This is The Xavier Dolan's movie, nothing needs to be said.

9. Sherlock Special (series)

Moriarty - still sexy af. Sherlock - still that lunatic teenage star. Plot - extremely complicated and shady. But I would still recommend to watch it.

10. Jawbreaker (movie, 1999)

Just another movie about Barbie mean girls. But hey, someone dies there. If u like Mean Girls, Wild Child and movies like that then do try it. Yet but an old classic

11. The Island (movie, 2005)

One more movie about our society and the idea of utopia and stuff like that. Nothing really special about it. Maybe adore Scarlet Johansen here, she's so sweet.

12. Dead Pool (movie, 2016)

One hell of a movie. Dat cool sassy asshole with a great sense of humour and jokes about avocados and X-men, totally deserves your time, attention and love. God, this movie is freaking cool. Don't call it pretentious, you bastards, just admit it, Rayn Reynolds just did THE THING.

13. Kung Fu Panda 3 (animation, 2015)

It is what you expect to be: a fluffy adventure with a lot food, fights, jokes and some drama action. On this can't say that the 3rd is always the worst because it's kinda not. The animation is cool, the storyline isn't very tightened or confusing. There are lots bright colours and just overall a great light thing to watch.

14. Minority Report (movie, 2002)

Needless to say that a young Tom Cruise is staring here in this film but moreover the whole cast itself is amazing. This is kind of a detective, mystery, crime story set in the utopian future with a lot of twists and turns and futuristic technology and strange secrets of human society. Quite a nerve-wracking thingy to watch but I definitely enjoyed it.

15. Black books (TV series, 2000-2004)

Dylan Moran is the MAN. God, I love this series so much, soo much, you can't even imagine. Everything about it the coolest thing in the world. Every actor, every line, every set, every joke it's just a new religion. But for real guys all three of these main characters are brilliant comics irl and this series itself was written by Dylan Moran who plays Bernard Black here (aka the guy in the middle). Yes, you won't any teenage drama here and kind of relationships you're used too but it has to offer. I really really recommend you to watch it. For example I'm saying you will totally enjoy it if you're familiar with Community, Bad Education, MMFD and Parks and Rec.
So do watch it please

16. Lucy (movie, 2014)

You know, there's some drama, action, detective and science here but I just enjoyed looking at Scarlett Johansson. It's quite debatable whether this movie is overall good because I'll to agree it starts out as an ass killer and suddenly doesn't get the right ending but you won't feel like you've wasted your anyways, so you're good to go.

17. X-men: Apocalypses
( movie, 2016)

I mean I don't wanna reveal too much about it because you can still catch up on it at the cinemas but overall the movie is great itself. Although I would warn you to expect much from Apocalypses because his character is rather weak (not in powers) and undeveloped. There's also a little old loop that you can see through all X-men movies but that's okay because as usual the cast is goals. There are some new characters. Quicksilver got his moments of fame, the coolest and sickest once again. Oh, be prepared for family drama, a lot of family drama.

18. The Giver (movie, 2014)

Another utopian but really disutopian story. Quite thought-provoking and funny and deep and tear-jerking. Cast is brilliant as well. But like, nothing too special.

19. Chloé (movie, 2009)

Looking back on watching this film yesterday still don't quite understand what is this whole thing about... Be prepared for strange turns, drama, feelings and just overall a strange feeling.

20. Zootopia (animation, 2016)

A really funny and romantic in a way, story about someone following his/her dreams and helping each other and solving crimes and falling in love. This is a sweet thing to watch and to relax but be warned that falling for Nick is inevitable.

21. X-men: Days of Future Past (movie, 2014)

Too much love. Too much. I love it too much

22. Let it be - a film by Bertie Gilbert. (short film, 2016)

Name Bertie Gilbert speaks for itself. When you see it, you know it will be deep and scenery will be amazing. Uhm, sad to admit but I was amazed more by trailer than by the film itself. Although it's classical Gilbert movie that'll make you question your existence it felt like it lost something just there was something about that felt incomplete. Idk, probs I'm being too pretentious in my taste.

23. The Imp Of The Perverse by Ben Cook

I wish I could express my feelings about this creation but I can't. My language is not yet capable of that. All I can say that this thing is ground-breaking and shoot absolutely gorgeous and cast, MY GOD, such an amazing cast. Needless to say that the author of this is one and only Benjamin Cook. Just watch the trailer and you'll see.

24.  金継ぎ Kintsugi
(a film by Alia Hassan (2015))

If you want some food for thoughts then that's what you need to watch

25. Daria
(animated series, 1997-2001)

Don't judge it because it's old. It's so close to you that it feels like you're there living life with Daria. I just can't describe it because it'll definitely seem like a boring show to watch but trust me, you'll like it a lot. Uuuuuhm, okay, it's kinda similar in a way to MMFD for you to understand.

26. Bee and the Puppycat
(cartoon on Cartoon Hangover)

Sweet and fluffy and entertaining. Watch it to relax and take your thoughts away.

o Free! (anime, 2014)

o Noragami! (anime, 2014 - )

o Kuroko no  Basuke (anime, 2012 - 2015)

1. Prince of stride alternative /season 1/ (anime)

Persona #1 Quicksilver

(probability of spoilers be careful)

Hey, and welcome to my fresh new rubric where I talk about people; movie, animation and anime  characters and basically creatures that I adore.
Today's all about, as you may guess,

Quicksilver by one and only Evan Peters

Wait wait wait, if you haven't seen the most popular and cool scene ever, go and do that. If you did tho, just watch it again because why not

So now when you're back take your time to soak it in.

Let's talk about the reason or should I say reasons for me choosing him this week. First of, Evan Peters is hella sexy and sassy and badass in this role. Secondly, a new part of X-Men (aka X-men: Apocalypses) just came out and you should totally go check it btw. Thirdly, the music - every time Quicksilver has some screen time music choice is so on point (like Guardians Of the Galaxy mixtape, this high top level music). Finally, how can you just not fall in love with a rebellious yet sensitive Evan Peters with fucking silver hair, right?

Now moving on to his character. Basically, if we go back to CU (aka comic universe) Quicksilver is first introduced to us as an addition to X-men. His name is Pietro Maximoff and he has  twin sister Wanda Maximoff also known as Scarlet Witch. He's super fast like really really fast, faster than Flash. And oh, did I mention that he's Magneto's son? That's right, it's true in the CU as well as in cinematic (was that a spoiler for you? If so, I'm sorry, man). He eventually became a part of X-men family and a superhero himself later.
So, you've probs seen Avengers and their Quicksilver ain't bad, he even has a sister (whom X-men's doesn't have for whatever reason) but let me tell you Pietro of the X-men is way more full of personality and less stressed and conservative. He basically can save a movie by just having a 2 minute scene in it. Maybe he's a show-off or the "deadpool" of this movie universe but for me it only makes him cooler. He's hella handsome, his style is perfect, as well as his musical taste, his jokes are funny and he still manages to be down-to-earth and really close to us young people. I may regret saying it but I actually like him more  than The Flash (I'm talking about recent Flash from the TV show). It may seem to you like he doesn't play much of a role in the movies but a few words he says sometimes can be way more valuable than endless talks of Mr. Xavier (not that I don't like him because I love him for real). You can feel how vulnerable he is whenever he talks to his "father".

Spoiler alert!
Oh God that moment from Apocalypses when he nearly said made me cry. Like this whole movie I was worrying for him so much and hopped that he would tell Magneto but oh man, I guess they're going to shoot one more part. I mean how else do you explain that everyone knows about it except Erik himself...
Spoiler end

Overall, there are so many reasons to love this character, this badass boy like even ads with him little cool short movies look at them

Did you enjoy it? I hope so.
Until next time. See ya

The power of Visualisation or How to overcome everyday Awkwardness

Don't you ever just feel uncomfortable when you look at someone?

Hello, people (or not only people) of the internet.
I know, I know, haven't been here for some time. There's no excuse for me. But let's just forget about and talk about some important matters.

Today's topic is devoted to my social awkwardness and some interesting stuff I found out while trying to conduct a scientific experiment.
Let's go to the start. So it all began when I, inspired by an episode of a TV show (how typical of me), decided to try a theory of visualisation irl. Main idea of this "power of visualisation" is that if you look at someone or something and imagine what will happen/is happening with that person or thing than eventually it will happen irl with you because dah, magic of the universe and stuff like that. Like it's said "Dreams come true". Well, in this TV show it worked and actually worked kinda great, just as they wanted it to go and decided that I can do it to.
Okay, about two weeks ago I've chosen a person whom I don't talk to and he slightly hates me or is interested in something about me, basically he just gives me these kinda strange foxy looks. So on Monday last week I went and printed a photo of this person and started my visualising process. I kinda just stared at this photo trying to imagine that we would get along and at least don't hate each other. For most of the week nothing happened at all and I accused myself in not staring at the photo enough time.
Overall I'm still doing this experiment and yet no changes but the point of my whole story is that by looking so much at his photo I got rid of this uncomfortable feeling that I had every time we had some kinda eye contact with this person irl. Sooooooo if you have some problems with holding eye contact or in general just being around people I feel like it helps ''exercising" just try to look at your friends for a while to train yourself or, if you're having problems with a particular person, than look at his/her photo until you start feeling like you're homies and so it'll make it easier for you to live life.

I hope at least if it wasn't really helpful but just a little entertaining.
Loves

Trip in outfits. Day # 9-12

Golden Days

Hey, babes.

Enjoy a lill compilation of the last few days of my journey. Tried to choose photos to set that kind of an old school home-like atmosphere. Really rarely of me to have a relaxed and happy face, like ever but I enjoyed these two weeks so much I actually don't wanna go home. I hope you can get the vibes of warmness and relax I'm trying to send through these photos. Do you feel nostalgic, guys? Is it working? Any positive emotions?

Travelling is the best.
