Persona #4 Zuko the prince of the new era

Hey, babes. Before I start my usual ramble let's get some thing out of the way.
First of, I can't resist just talking about real people so there you go, another gorgeous fictional character to admire.
Second, if for some obscure reason you still haven't watched Avatar: The Last Airbender (not Kora or God Help Us that movie) then immediately disembark this page and go watch it, like binge watch it and after you absorb all the beauty, deepness and every little thing about this show, then do come back and enjoy some decent (maybe not so decent) appreciation post for the biggest rebelish cinnamon roll in this universe aka Mr. Zuzu.
Now, when you've been warned, let me invite you to join on our emotional rollercoaster ride.

It would be wrong to say that Zuko was the only one who changed throughout  the series because one of the best things about Avatar is definitely character development. Every character got his/her dose of life-changing events. Although, to me, Zuko is one of those who developed the most and for the best. Let's begin our little retrospective journey.

When we first meet the Prince in exile he comes across as I short-tempered, self-centred blind rebellious teenager. Honestly, I immediately didn't like him for being such an asshole but we should appreciate his blind determination to get what he must get. If not for Zuko's lovely uncle Iroh who balanced everything out,  Zuko could've exploded right there during his first "battle" with team Avatar. Our little Prince went a long road to become such a graceful King. We saw him next to his crazy sister and father which made us think that maybe he ain't that bad compered to his family. His storyline seemed to be always on the complete polar opposites. It had to be extreme, it's either he's being a total fuckboy and ruining everything in front of him or he's having strong spiritual awakenings and trying to get shit together and correct his past mistakes.
Even tho Iroh helped him all the way, Zuko still found his path in life when he was alone which makes me love him even more.
Some of my fav moments of his storyline differently are:
1. Him being the mystery mask boy and saving everyone
2. Trying to master lighting and failing at it and then discovering a better ability (such a cinnamon roll)
3. Being friends with Toph
3.2 Talking to frog about life (again cinnamon roll)
4. Going on field trips with team Avatar (including Him and Aang being stuck in resin and then dancing the dragon dance; Mai x Zuko  moment during prison escape)
5. Reuniting with his uncle Iroh
6. Final battle against his sis ft. Katara (this episode I totally shipped it)

Ah, Zuko is such a cinnamon roll, my heart always starts beating so fast whenever I remember that time when he finally joined Team Avatar and they spent time together and went to his child home and  watched that obscure theatrical performance.

I would've totally shipped Katara and Zuko but like my fav none canon ship is Katara and Jet (I know, I know he's such a fuckboy but still, I can't). What's your fav ship and fav moment w/ Zuko?

Zuko changed from a lost angry baby to a graceful wise adult. If he managed to go through so much shit and grow up a decent person in such a family then we can totally do it too. He's such an inspiration to me. Plus he's a true cinnamon roll, we've seen him being vulnerable and lost so many times it feels like he spent the whole series struggling with his own identity (which is true and is good).

The moral of today is as always  -  be true, be you and search for better things
Also, be kind
XoXo
Ivana
